Representative Watson,
As the Charman of the House Judiciary Criminal Practices Sub-committee, you are in a position to control whether or not my voice is heard regarding pending legislation. While I do not live in your district, my representative, Ulysses Jones, will never be able to speak on my behalf should your sub-committee and subsequently the full committee do not pass bills on for consideration. So in this respect, you do have a responsibility to the whole citizenry of Tennessee.
With this said, it is my understanding that on Wednesday, March 10th, your sub-committee will be hearing a number of firearms related bills.
House bills, HB-0842, HB-1801, HB-2567, HB-3240, HB-3141, HB-2694, HB-2719, and HB-2726 are all bills that ask for your support on. House bills, HB-2694 and HB-3141 are of particular importance to me. HB-3141 would allow employees to keep their weapons in their car on employers parking lots is a major concern for me. If you recall, I spoke on two occasions last year, once at the sub-committee in April and then before the whole committee at the summer study in support of similiar legislation.
If my schedule allows, and I don't anticipate any conflict at this time, I do intend to travel to Nashville on March 10th to support these bills at this hearing. I ask for your support for these bills.
Thank you
