Although passed in the House, the bill fails in the Tennessee Senate for lack of adequate votes - too many Senators abstain from voting on June 17, 2009.

When did defending ones self and family become a priviedge. That is the problem with all of these so called leaders of the community. They think that if we got it they gave us the ability to give it to them. What a dud.
It sounds to me like Shelby country needs to be revamped.

I am very disappointed in our Senate on this issue.

It is disappointing that they could not close the database from public redistribution. I understand that there are many perspectives on who should be allowed and under what circumstances to access the data but there are least seemed to be a majority agreement that the newspapers and internet sites did not need to be doing what they have done that really created this problem.
