Just wondering where we were on this one. I thought for some reason that it had gone through and I looked at CA's sight the other evening to find out how many HCP holders were in my area so that I would have some numbers to give the local resturaunts and councilmembers. The database on thier website is still running.

The House version of the bill passed with an overwhelming majority. The Senate version is carried by Sen. Mark Norris (Memphis) and has passed the Senate Judiciary. It is ready to be set on the House floor but has not been at this point. Perhaps phone calls to Sen. Norris may help. However, I believe perhaps that he has not moved the bill largely because he is majority leader and worked extensively on the judicial election/selection bill over the last few weeks. We need a nudge.

I emailed Sen Norris at the end of last week about this very bill to inquire as to the status of it. Haven't gotten a response.

I assume he is pretty busy at the end of the year but the bill is on the Senate floor today.
