The Tennessee Senate just overrode Governor Bredesen’s veto of House Bill 0962, the Restaurant Carry Bill, by a vote of 21-9!
Senator Doug Jackson spoke eloquently in defense of our rights. He also recognized Mrs. Nikki Goeser, who watched her husband Ben be murdered in a Nashville restaurant because she followed the law, & left her legally carried handgun in her vehicle.
Per Senator Jackson’s comments from the well of the Senate, the effective date is 14 July 2009, due to the provisions of the Tennessee Constitution.
