I ATTENDED THE RK GUNSHOW 10-17-2010 AT THE KNOXVILLE FAIRGROUNDS ABOUT 2 PM SUNDAY. MY WIFE AND I PAID $10 BUCKS EACH FOR ADMISSION WITH NO NRA DISCOUNT OFFERED. NO LOADED CARRY GUNS ALLOWED. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT AT A GUN SHOW? I WAS APPALLED. IF A LEGAL HCP HOLDER CANNOT CARRY IN A GUN SHOW HOW ON EARTH CAN WE EXPECT A BUSINESS TO ALLOW US TO CARRY A LOADED CONCEALED WEAPON.

I AM A SECOND AMENDMENT DIEHARD! I ATTACK THOSE WHOM ARE ANTI AMERICAN, ANTI CONSTITUTIONAL, ANTI SECOND AMENDMENT SCOUNDRELS WITH ALL MY MIGHT , no harm or violence intended. RK SHOWS HAVE MADE THE LIST. I WILL BOYCOTT THE SHOW UNTIL THEY REVERSE THIS POLICY. I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CARRY YOUR FIREARM ANY WHERE AT ANYTIME UN-IMPEDED BY REGULATIONS. I DONT KNOW ANYONE AT RK NOR HAVE ANY GRUDGE WITH THEM EXCEPT THIS FOOLISH NO LOADED CONCEALED FIREARMS IN THEIR SHOW POLICY. I DONT CARE WHAT EXCUSE THEY HAVE IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. IT WILL MAKE INSURANCE TO HIGH, BULL. CHANGE COMPANIES . CHANGE LOCATIONS. THEY ARE NO EXCUSES.

I GOT TO THE SHOW ABOUT 2 PM AND AT 3PM EXHIBITORS WERE LOADING UP THEIR STUFF TO GO HOME. THE SHOW SAID OPEN TIL 4 PM. I THOUGHT IT WAS UNFAIR TREATMENT TO PEOPLE THAT SPENT 20 BUCKS TO GET IN,, WATCHING SELLERS HURRING TO GET OUT. MAJOR CRAFT SHOWS IN GATLINBURG AND ELSEWHERE FORBID BREAKDOWN OR PACKING INVENTORY BY ANYONE DURING SHOW HOURS. WHY. IT HURTS THE ATTENDANCE AT THE NEXT SHOW AS PEOPLE REMEMBER A BAD EXPERIENCE. IT ALSO FORBIDS EARLY DEPARTURE IF THE SHOW SALES ARE SLOW.
THANKS JOHN HARRIS III FOR ALLOWING ME AN OPPORUTINY TO EXPRESS MY VIEW. THANK YOU MEMBERS FOR YOUR TIME.
I HOPE TO JOIN SOON,
ZULU3

I agree 100%. Unfortunately, it was explained to me like this. Older carry permit holders who still carry are less dexterous have shot people at gun shows. They unholster their firearm to test fit new gear or accessories and end up shooting the guy next to them.

Of course the old insurance excuse is always the fall back.

I don't like it either.

I can understand the no loaded guns rule. People will be handling and showing guns all over. It only takes one careless slip to really ruin someone's day. And think of the field day our local "news" organizations would have with that story.
