Once again, the rabidly anti-gun Communist Appeal has printed a story, omitting facts, so that it can be used as propaganda. On November 5th, in Chattanooga, there was an attempted robbery of individuals involved in a drug deal, which led to a homicide. This was reported accurately in the Chattanooga Times Free Press:
http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2009 ... -homicide/
They even accurately reported the fact that a .25 semi-automatic (not an "assault weapon" as the CA would have reported) was used, which is not what a Carry Permit Holder would typically carry.
As usual, when the Memphis Communist Appeal ran their version; they made it sound as if a total stranger just decided to start blasting as robbers accosted a gentleman out for a stroll. If anyone, especially in the Chattanooga area, knows if the individuals involved had records, or any more info, please pass that on to me. One thing is certain; if anyone involved had a carry permit, this would have been front page news in the CA.
Thanks,

Man fatally shot at playground
CHATTANOOGA -- Gunfire at a Chattanooga playground where children were playing nearby left one man dead and another wounded.
Police said 28-year-old Antonio Green was shot in the upper chest and was pronounced dead Thursday afternoon at a hospital. Twenty-nine-year-old Artie Watson was treated for gunshots in the leg and hand.
Police say a man told investigators that Green and Watson attempted to rob him and another man pulled out a handgun and started shooting as others playing basketball yelled to children on the playground to go inside.
Edward Jackson III has been charged with criminal homicide. Watson has been charged with attempted aggravated robbery.
