Records for Class III weapons
Posted: Tue Apr 28, 2009 8:49 pmI could be wrong but Io think that it is illegal for a law enforcement agency to maintain records of firearms purchases in thier juridiction. Would this also apply for Class III items?

Posted: Tue Apr 28, 2009 11:01 pmI am not certain, but I think I remember reading once that NFA records are actually tax records and requires a court order to view them.

Posted: Wed Apr 29, 2009 12:50 amI was thinking more along the lines of the CLEO making copies of all of your paperwork when you send in your form 1 or 4 to get a sig.

Using a trust eliminates the CLEO signoff and that issue.
