XDM

The word is Springfield has come out the an XDM in 9mm with a cap of 19+1. They saying check with dealer to see when it will be available.

Though this topic has an early date, let's bring it back for a bit. The XDM is now out of course in 9mm & 40 S&W.
I've been looking at this in 40 SW & really like the look & feel. One problem I have with this gun is the sights.
Three white dots.. not uncommon, but the rear sights are made with a deep cone & the white dots look like
they were painted with water colors. Not very visible, at least with my set of peepers. Have seriously considered
trading my Glock 22 for one, but the sights are a hangup. Don't want to turn around & spend another hundred
or so bucks for new sights. Anyone have any experience with the XDM?

tnxdshooter, a little update... Finally took the plunge today & traded the Glock 22 for the XDM 40 S&W. Had
Trijicon note sights installed..green dots, front & rear. All black frame, etc.
Carried it home, shot one mag thru it, shoots like a dream. Much better than the Glock.
Very happy with this gun thus far. Wife likes it as well, now talking about trading her Taurus. Never let
the wife try your weapon, she may want it. LOL
Should have made this move earlier when we we talking about it.

I had an XD 9mm and ended up selling it. Good pistol, just didn't care for it. I have a S&W M&P in 9mm now and I'm really loving it so far about 600 rounds in.

I think the M&P feels better in my hand and points better for me, and with the Apex hard sear and striker block the trigger is very nice.
