Back on July 1 of last year, John Harris logged the following post
*****************
Tennessee firearms owners need conservative and capable candidates to challenge the following members of the 103 General Assembly should they seek to continue their seat in office:
Kim McMillan (D. Clarksville)
Rob Briely (D. Nashville)
Kent Coleman (D. Murfreesboro)
Henri "I don't say the pledge" Brooks (D. Memphis)
********************
As you know, these are the members of the Constitutional Protections Sub-Committee who have consistently blocked the vast majority of TFA supported legislation.
Well, friends and neighbors, last Thursday was the filing deadline for the Nov. 2 General Election.

We have an opportunity here folks, and it is up to us to make the best of it.
First, if you look at this and shake your head in disgust that all of this is basically politics, and that your rights are God given and shouldn't be subjected to political whims, I congratulate you on being correct, but ask that you wake up to the real world. If you choose not to wake up and face reality, and choose not to participate, then, best of luck to you.
Second, if you're looking for some way to make a difference, this is your way. We can take active personal roles in these campaigns, or more passive roles of financial contributors. Either one helps. No experience is necessary.
Third, I'd like to make a humble suggestion. Someone from each local area needs to volunteer to contact the opposition candidate and see "how the land lays", and report back here, and perhaps become a liaison to the campaign. Hopefully, we'll see some positive and encouraging news.
As one looks at the list, three of these races are in middle Tennessee. This offers a unique and very important challenge to you folks there. Please, we need three of you to step up and take this one on.
Here's to high hopes, folks.
