I presume you watched the same film I was subjected to last June. I found a number of inaccuracies in it. It was very out-of-date. I mentioned them to my instructor, and he confirmed that my observations were indeed correct. Basically, the Dept. of Safety needs to make a new film. That is, if they ever get the agency fixed. (Anybody notice today's Tennessean ? More promotions to troopers with political connections, supposedly.)

I just took an HCP class on August 5th with some really great instructors. It was an all day Saturday thing (w/ a break for lunch) and it was as enjoyable as it could be. The video does suck and my instructors point out some of the errors in it. That was probably the worst part of the course, but it's state mandated. I don't know how big classes usually are, but this one was nice. There were 8 of us and 2 instructors. Both of them are gun nuts and brought all sorts of different pistols for us to handle and learn about. We were a diverse group, from "the wives" to a retired Army man and I don't think any of us left there overly bored or confused. Fun way to spend a Saturday!
