Subject: Handgun Carry Laws
Senator Watson,
I posed this question to Senator Fowler earlier this spring and got a
response from the legal department. It appears that our representatives
need to make a priority in resolving these discrepancies in the handgun
laws in Tennessee.
Would you please support or sponsor changes needed to address the issues
below?
Also a bill amendment is needed to delete the ban on handgun permit
holders to legally carry in restauraunts that happen to serve alcohol.
Most states that grant concealed handgun permits don't ban legal
carriers in restauraunts that happen to serve alcohol. Of course, clubs
and bars would still be off limits regardless.
