My permit is up for renewal in April. I want to send in my renewal fee soon. I noticed the instructions in #2 of the General Instructions page say, "Expired permits must be surrendered at time of renewal." Has anyone renewed their permit prior to expiration? Did you send your current permit with your fee? Wouldn't this imply a period of time when you could not legally carry? What has been the experience of those of you who have renewed your permits? Thanks

I renewed my permit before it expired and got ot keep my old one. They told me that if it expired or my address changed that they would have taken it. If this happened the receipt would be valid until I received my new permit in the mail.
