Nashville Chapter is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, October 15, 2013

Social / meal starts at 5:30pm
Formal meeting time is 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm

Our guest will be Trooper Chris Dye who has been in law enforcement since 1999. He worked with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy ("TLETA") through their department. In 2001, Trooper Dye joined the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division and transferred over to the Highway Patrol. He graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy in 2002, and was assigned to Williamson County. He worked in that county until 2006, when he was reassigned to the Training Center, where he is an instructor for in-service and Cadet School. (He is presently the Administrative Sergeant for the Lawrenceburg District. Prior to his law enforcement service, he served with the United States Marine Corps for four years. He will discuss traffic stops, training officers on how to deal with civilian handgun permit holders, and how law enforcement would prefer for permit holders to respond when stopped.

Seating is limited to about 100 so arrive early if you want a seat.

Arrive early - 5:00 to 5:30 would be good. Eat in the meeting room if possible and if not, get as close as you can. We will try finishing eating by 7:00 in the meeting room to clear out everything but drinks for the meeting if we have a large turnout.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO PAY AT GOLDEN CORRAL AS YOU COME IN FOR THE MEETING IF YOU ARE EATING. TELL THEM THAT AT THE CASH REGISTER THAT YOU ARE THERE FOR THE MEETING AND TO APPLY THE "GROUP RATE" WHICH INCLUDES YOUR DRINK.

You do not have to be a TFA member to attend nor do you have to be a resident of Nashville. Everyone is welcome and you are encouraged to bring guests.
