I think most go to the chapter meetings in Nashville. I have been lax myself in trying to get something started; I fear life intrudes into the desire to get something going here. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try, however.

Then, perhaps rather than complain, locate perhaps a dozen or so constitutionally minded firearms owners and start a chapter in Murfreesboro. I do recall attending years ago a start up chapter at On Target - just prior to its interruption due to a fire. That chapter never resumed.

I live in Rutherford county ( Florence unincorp.) and would attend mettings etc. My district rep. Mike Sparks is an concealed carry permiter as well and He and sheriff Arnold will be holding an fund raiser around June 2nd tenative this is the second time for this , also within the fundraiser they are have a target shoot with food as well but there was an 50 dollar enttry for local fund raiser. Many TFA local chapter meetings are held at restaurants, and eating (and therefore paying) is optional.

The meetings themselves are no-charge--something that is always mentioned (at least in the Nashville chapter
meeting announcements). Though we meet at Golden Corral, where it is appropriate to pay as you enter, I know
they will allow people in without paying, and we also have the outside door open directly into the meeting room,
and some enter that way, as well.

Of course, it's on the honor system, and if you eat, you're expected to pay. We have a good and very cordial
relationship with Golden Corral--they like having us there, and they readily acknowledge that on the 3rd Tuesday
of every month, they are the safest restaurant in Nashville!
