An Interesting Read... "The Day the Dollar Died"

I was directed to this blog by a friend of mine...
The author is a very well versed day-trader down in Florida. I am posting this here because he is the first person I have seen that was able to author a fictional story that accurately portrays exactly how fragile our dollar, as a useful currency, is right now. He has written some parts of his story on a level that might be (when discussing the in-depth financial issues) a little deep for some folks... I know that he really made me work hard to remember some of my Series 8/Series 63 brokerage background from 15 years ago... BUT, it doesn't really detract from his story since he goes on to give explanation of the impact in simpler terms as well. He is telling the story as quick excerpts in time (date and time provided) and how three different people are being effected by the events that are taking place. A truck driver in the Mid-West, a trucking terminal worker down in Georgia, and a day-trader down in Florida are the main characters. I personally feel his scenario is not only accurate, but unfortunately probable (if something doesn't drastically change the direction of the country.)
If you liked JWR's Patriots (F.K.A. "000"), or Niven's Lucifer's Hammer, you will probably enjoy this one, outside of the fact that this one is a much more likely scenario than either of the scenarios in the two aforementioned works, and is therefore a little worrisome. If you are not familiar with either of these two books, give this blog novel, or blovel as these have come to be known, a try. The author's pen name is... John Galt. Some of you will recognize that, and some won't... His pen name is a whole other story...
He enters an new section of the story every Wednesday... Sort of like the old western serials on Saturday at the theatres years ago. The story is posted with the most recent entry at the top, so you'll have to go the the bottom of the screen for the start of the story.
Check it out... It will sure make you think...
