Help St. Jude Children's Hospital and Shoot Machine Guns!

Please join me, September 23rd, in doing something fun and supporting a very important cause at the same time; help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Shoot Machine Guns!
In the past two years at this shoot, we have had members of television and print media shoot some of the full auto weapons. They enjoyed it as much as the rest of us, and we have received positive coverage for the gun rights community. St. Jude is an internationally known research hospital and can't be praised enough for the help they provide to children. The Friends of NRA also provides many positive programs that benefit the youths that will be the future supporters of our gun rights.
We need volunteers to load magazines and help staff our TFA table at the event. Donations for ammo would also be appreciated. Please call or e-mail me and I will add you to the schedule and/or put you in touch with Bill Langham, of Guns & Ammo for ammo donations.
Thank You,

NEWS RELEASE
September 9, 2006
For Immediate Release
MEMPHIS, TENN– The third annual Memphis Friends of NRA “Machine Gun Shoot†to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, at Range USA, 2770 Whitten Road.
The event will run from 1-6 p.m., at the indoor range. Featured in the controlled environment, will be a variety of firearms to shoot including machine guns, exotic handguns and large caliber firearms.
The Friends of NRA program is made up of committees of citizens that want to make a positive difference in their communities and the American culture. The primary activity of the committees is to host a fundraising event to benefit local and national safety and other programs. Among the programs and activities Friends of NRA supports are the Eddie Eagle youth safety program that teaches kids the “Stop. Don’t Touch. Leave the Area. Get an Adult†approach when they see a firearm.
The organization also provides financial support to properly supervised youth shooting education and activities such as high school trap shooting teams, the Boy Scouts of America, 4-H, and many others. Additionally, funds are available to stretch police education budgets, range development, wildlife habitat preservation, and much more. Friends of NRA is administered by the NRA Foundation, a charitable, non-political partner of the National Rifle Association.
