The August meeting of the TFA Shelby County Chapter will be Thursday, August 19th at 7 PM at RangeUSA in Bartlett. The meeting will be either in the Liberty Grille or in the classroom next to the Liberty Grille.

Republican Leader Tre Hargett, R-97 will be our speaker this month. Rep. Hargett has been serving in the State Legislature since 1996 and holds the position of Leader among the Republican Representatives in the House.

I'm sure Tre will have interesting insights about the battles in Nashville this past session or of the races going on around the state during this election year.

Make a difference and come on out, as Tre deserves our full support.

First of all, a recap of the August meeting last week at Range USA. gave a very good talk on what is at stake with the state level races this coming November. He described Kent Coleman's behavior as the kind of behavior that gives policticians a bad name, and the importance of winning a Republican majority. Also in attendance were , and , candidate for District 89. Please consider volunteering in the campaigns of these men and sending them a campaign contribution.

Second, a big thank you to all of you who attended last week's meeting. We had a packed room, with wives and children in attendance. This is our future, folks, so, job well done on coming out.
