July 15th, 2004 Meeting - Jim Jamieson, Guest Speaker
Posted: Thu Jul 08, 2004 6:25 amThe July meeting of the TFA Shelby County Chapter will be Thursday, July 15th at 7 PM at RangeUSA in Bartlett. The meeting will be in the classroom next to the Liberty Grille.
Our guest speaker this month will be Jim Jamieson, Republican candidate for State Representative, District 89. This is the district that was held for a number of years by Carol Chumney and is now held by Rep. Beverly Marrero. Jim is a graduate of La Salle University and works for Northwest Airlines.
I first met Jim several weeks ago, and our discussion turned, as you might imagine, to the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. In a crowded room full of people, Jim candidly told me that if the time ever came for him to turn in his firearms, "they" could pry them from his cold, dead hands. How refreshing. My kind of guy.
