The Shelby County Chapter of the Tennessee Firearms Association will meet Thursday, 7/19/12 at 7:00 PM at Range USA:

http://www.rangeusa.com/

2770 Whitten Rd. in Memphis. (Please support Range USA every chance you can, they support TFA and YOUR rights!)

With the number of Carry Permit Holders in our area growing faster than anywhere else in Tennessee, we have many new to being armed in public. One of the questions that we hear most is; what a CPH should do/not do when interacting with Law Enforcement. We will answer that Thursday.

Our guest speakers will be Chief Joseph P. Ruff, Director of Training for the Shelby County Sheriff's Office; the 5th largest SO in the country:

And, local prominent attorney, Claiborne Ferguson. Esq.:

Besides being an expert in firearms, tactics and a veteran of our military currently serving in the Tennessee State Guard, Chief Ruff is one of the most well spoken, knowledgeable, Constitutional Conservatives you will ever have the privilege of hearing speak. Chief Ruff is on the short list of gentlemen who carry on the principals of our Founding Fathers today.

Also a Constitutional Conservative, Claiborne Ferguson is a Carry Permit Holder as well as an avid shooter and gun collector. Mr. Ferguson attended Mississippi College, School of Law and graduated magna cum laude and as the top in his graduating class, he received numerous honors. He is the senior partner in his own law firm. Mr. Ferguson also carries on the principals of the Founding Fathers and we are honored that he is our guest.

Although we always welcome new members, TFA meetings are open to the public and you do not have to be a member to attend. Anyone joining TFA at a meeting or event we are at will receive either a TFA T-shirt or cap included at no additional charge with his or her membership.

We'll promptly adjourn at 8:30. I look forward to seeing you there.

In Liberty,

Pat McGarrity
