I want to pass on a message to you from Rep. Paul Stanley, and my apologies to him for being late in doing so.
You may remember that Rep. Stanley was scheduled to be our speaker at the April 15th meeting, but he wasn't able to be there due to the passing of his Father. When Rep. Stanley called, he ask that I give a message to all TFA members: that it is very important that we oppose Rep. Kent Coleman of Murfreesboro this year. Rep. Stanley was speaking from the personal experience of serving on the Constitutional Protections Sub-Committee with Rep. Coleman.
Rep. Stanley went on to say that he personally plans to assist in the campaign of Coleman's opponent, , and will be making at least one trip to Murfreesboro sometime in September or early October to knock on doors and pass out literature. I asked Rep. Stanley to let me know when he decides on the weekend, as I would like to go, too. And, I'll pass the info along when we get it.
Given what Rep. Coleman did to our legislation this past week, I encourage all of you to consider going, and we'll just caravan from Memphis to Murfreesboro for the Saturday. The more TFA feet on the ground, the better.
Let me know what you think.
More later.
