Shelby County TFA Meeting 3/15/07 & D.C. Gun Ban Repeale
Posted: Fri Mar 09, 2007 9:46 pm
The Shelby County Chapter of the Tennessee Firearms Association will meet Thursday, 3/15/07 at 7:00 PM (19:00) at Range USA:
http://www.rangeusa.com/
2770 Whitten Rd. in Memphis. Please support Range USA every chance you can!
This should be one of our most interesting and thought provoking meetings. TFA Member, Legal Scholar and Juris Doctor Candidate, Booth Outlan, will present his paper; THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS UNDER THE CONSTITUTIONS OF THE STATES. Booth plans to become an attorney and activist, specializing in lobbying for our Firearms Rights. This is good news for Liberty - We need more attorneys, like TFA Founder and Executive Director, John Harris, on OUR SIDE!
Booth's paper is very timely, with today's decision, by the District of Columbia Circuit Court, to repeal the unconstitutional D.C. gun ban. A leading gun rights scholar, Prof. John Lott, believes that this case will go to the U.S. Supreme Court, and explains on his web site, why that could be a risk:

I agree, and look forward to hearing Booth's thoughts on this and related topics and hope you will join us.
At our April meeting, on 4-19-07, our guest will be Award Winning Conservative Radio Personality, Mike Fleming. We will have a lot of fun and enjoy Mike's thoughts on his support of our Firearms Rights and other important topics.
There will be a drawing for Range USA & TFA T-shirts. We'll promptly adjourn at 8:30 (20:30). I look forward to seeing you there.
In Liberty,
Pat McGarrity
