Doesn't the 4473 have your name, address, firearm type, its serial number? Since the government always can get access to it, it is a registry to me, even if it isn't called one.

Posted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 7:59 pmI thought that 4473's were required to be destroyed beyond some (relatively short) specified period of time and then the only record that the FFL had was in their bound book. At that point it's just a name and a firearm.
