Insurance for guns

I remember recently in the alerts the subject of home insurance and how it relates to firearms. My insurance company has no problem insuring guns but they do require me to give them model # serial # and bill of sale or recent appraisal. I really don't like anyone knowing exactly what I have. Do all insurance companies do this ?

All my insurance company asked me is how much my guns are worth.
They didn't ask how many I had, make, model#, etc.
Same went for electronics and other valuables.
