10 QUESTIONS REPORTERS WILL NEVER ASK POLITICIANS

1. By what percentage will the crime rate fall if Congress adopts your gun control proposals, and when will that decline occur?
2. If you don't know the answer to #1, why are you proposing more gun control legislation?
3. The mayors of Chicago, Detroit, New York, and other big cities are provided with armed body guards. Why should elected officials have the benefit of armed protection while ordinary citizens should not?
4. The federal government has adopted a policy not to deport illegal aliens if they haven't committed a felony or pose a threat to national security. If illegal aliens don't have to obey the law, why should anyone else?
5. The Obama administration gives work permits to illegal aliens who are granted "prosecutorial discretion" and allowed to stay in the U.S. That means they qualify for affirmative action hiring if they possess an Hispanic surname. Is it fair to unemployed native-born American workers to give illegal aliens this hiring preference? Will you do anything to oppose the practice?
6. The 2nd Amendment says the right to keep and bear arms "shall not be infringed." What does the word "infringed" in that context mean to you?
7. Under the 6th Amendment, anyone accused of crime has the right to representation by an attorney. The Supreme Court has ruled that if an accused person is too poor to afford an attorney, his 6th Amendment right is undermined and is therefore entitled to have an attorney paid for by taxpayers. So how come taxpayers aren't required to buy guns for poor people under the 2nd Amendment?
8. The Census Bureau says that by 2040 or 2050, current immigration policy adopted by Congress will transform the U.S. into a majority non-white country. Do you think American voters should be asked whether they want that to happen? Why or why not?
9. If the federal government shouldn't track down and deport illegal aliens, how many illegal aliens should America continue to accept each year? Do you think there should be any limit on the number of illegal aliens who should be allowed to break the law? If so, what is that limit and why?
10. Please explain how effective the Federal Gun Control Act of 1968 has been in reducing crime.
