I recently inherited a Rock River Arms post-ban AR-15 from my father who passed in December of 2003. I know that he had something registered (perhaps the lower receiver?). I was just wanting some information about this. Do I need to re-register it in my name? Do I need to do it at all? I'm just trying to stay legal so that I can enjoy my rights to keep it and others for the rest of my life. Thank you for any and all help you can give.

There is no requirement to register a post-ban (or for that matter a pre-ban) AR15 in TN. Did your dad live in another state? Perhaps he had to register it there; but not here.
For legality purposes though (for example insurance purposes) if you can find the bill of sale for it, and of course your dad's will, you can prove ownership, if you ever had to do so.
Buy some SS109, buy some 30 round mags, and enjoy the rifle.
