NRA Grant Program

The Friends of NRA functions across the state raise money each year from the various events. For every dollar that is "profit" at an NRA Friends one half of that amount is available to the State Fund Committee to distribute under its grant program. I understand that the Tennessee State Fund may have as much as $70,000 to be distributed this year.

I believe that TFA should apply for grant money to pursue one or more of its objectives. I need your comments regarding what project TFA could and should pursue. Here is a link to the NRA grant instructions.

I need your comments - in detail - on possible projects that would fall within the scope of these guidelines and any thoughts you have on a budget for the program. Please respond as soon as possible.

They have a citizens police academy in Nashville, how about a citizens firearm academy that would educate community leaders in the facts about firearm ownership and how ineffective gun control laws are in curbing crime in Tennessee and throughout the nation.
