Is anyone else having problems with DOS sending letters to students saying they are missing the DOS copy of the Certificate of Completion? I have had 6 students that went to 3 different driver testing centers get letters from the November class to March class that DOS has everything from money, to application, to fingerprints but cannot find the Certificate of Completion. Since 3 Driver centers are involved it appears the "lost" problem may be at DOS.

What do you expect? They are dumb over there trust me on that. I think they hire former mc donalds workers to work there. Besides that they only have maybe four people to process over 200,000 some odd permits or more per year. No wonder crap gets lost.

You know, calling overworked employees "dumb", & generally heaping abuse on them...then expecting things to improve and the process to speed up seems somewhat counterproductive to me.
As Makk Truck says: "That's my opinion...oughta be yours..."

Yeah,
I hear ya david. It is just frustrating and really burns me up when people are incompetant. I do not care if they work for the State, McDonalds, Walmart, etc. If they are incompetant it really makes me mad because there is no excuse for it. If given the proper training and records are properly kept then none of these issues would happen. Didn't really mean to go off on a dennis miller rant there but stuff like this is typical of most government agencies.

When these things happen its important to
1) document specifics - including names, dates and locations
2) communicate in writing with TDOS - starting at the commissioner's office
3) copy all communications on the matter to the House and Senate members who represent those areas.
4) retain copies of all communications even if the problem is solved.
