I just got an email that said hb2694 passed today and since there is no fiscal note goes straight to the floor to be voted on. 3125 I reckon is still on the back burner.

Not straight to the floor, it simply bypasses FWM. This is good, as it will be faster for sure. Let us hope the Senate moves on this bill. A real pity it did not move a few weeks ago.

Ok forgive the Alzheimer's guys, if this passes without the proper verbage for the TCA Code sign attached, does that mean then any kind of signage will suffice then. I know very few actually use the TCA signage anyway, but now a magic marker, piece of cardboard & scotch tape in a out of the way place where we can't see it. Then we have people losing permits because of the way and type of sign used?

Unless I missed something, the signage was not really important near as I could tell. Main thing was getting restaurant carry.
XD, The anti-gun/ignorant people call it guns in bars, what it really is is restaurant carry. We don't have bars in this state, don't use their termanology. Words do in fact matter.

Bars do not serve food right? If that is the case I know of several places like that in Knoxville. Secondly, I do not like people telling me what I can and can't say.

Just because you know of such places in Knoxville does not mean they are following the law.
As for termanology, keep in mind the phrase "guns in bars" was designed specifically to hinder our efforts. Letting the anti-gun people choose the words you use does their job for them.

Guys I am not trying to be difficult here. I know that an amendment can be pushed through later. I am just concerned that some of the 'firearm indifferent" business owners could post a sign in an obscure place & then scream "gun" and call the police & eventually cause numerous permits to get pulled and folks be in our crowded court system. I understand the Posting requirements are stated in TCA 39-17-1359 but would this change that temporarily? I for one am always looking out for signs of where to spend and where not to. I have already been privy to a conversation about this between 3 retailers.
