Spring Hill Officer Dies after Car Crash

Just wanted to let you all know that Spring Hill Police Cpl. Jeremy Mclaren has very unexpectedly died from complications arising from a leg injury he sustained in a two car accident on Friday the 5th of Feb. He was 28, & leaves a wife, mother & father, as well as 3 siblings.

I had the opportunity a few weeks back to talk to Jeremy for about 30-45 minutes, & I can tell you that not only was he a supporter & defender of our 2nd amendment & other Constitutional Rights, but he was an all around Class Act.. It would be an understatement to say that he will be greatly missed by everyone here in Spring Hill TN.

Please keep our Police Dept. & his family in your prayers.

He also provided security for our church.

This afternoon, while returning from a Dr's appointment in Nashville, we followed the hearse & police escort to Franklin.

I expect details of the arrangements will be forthcoming before long. I expect they will be handled by Williamson Memorial, given where the
procession was headed. However, if I'm wrong, I'll edit & strike that portion.

Condolences to his family, Chief Smith, & the Spring Hill Police Department.

David

Quick update on the visitation for Jeremy McLaren last night.. To put it in what I feel are probably appropriate & succinct terms, I saw a bunch of people celebrating a great life, instead of only mourning an untimely death.. It was good to see that. I personally think that's how Officer McLaren would have wanted it..

I have had 4x4" Blue weather resistant bumper/window stickers that are badge shaped, & Blue with white lettering made to commemorate Jeremy.

I was only able to afford to do 125 of them at this time, but I know a couple of you here new Jeremy, so please message me if you want me to put one aside for you at no cost. They are being done in co-operation with "That's Printing" of Franklin TN, who graciously agreed to do them at cost. I do not have an ETA yet, but will keep you posted..

I designed them to be a bit more personal, & to invoke questions about him. Rather than put his full name, I put his initials in large letters, & badge number.
I'd rather people ask who he was, & what he was like, rather than just look at just another name, & move on.. They were kind of meant for locals as well, so I didn't put Spring Hill on it. People here will know what it means, & that's how I was inspired to do it. I wanted one for my truck, & so did my wife, but we wanted to make enough to give out to people who might want them.

The layout is very simple, something like this (except all letters will be centered of course):

In Memory
Of
Officer

Badge #
