All I can say is... Interpol better bring a lot of body bags with them if they think they are going to come over here and start making arrests.

We absolutely have to get that man out of office as soon as possible and clip his effective wings hopefully in 2010 with legislative change so overwhelming that lame duck takes on a whole new meaning....

The problem does not seem to just be at the Federal level, it is pervasive across the gamut of Politics. Our so called "Leaders" have taken on a King like attitude that their positions of authority give them justification to institute their personal feelings as to the way things should be, without consideration to the rule of Law or the Constitution.

We saw that in the veto of HB 0962 this year by a Governor who placed his own personal agenda above the wishes of the Legislature. Then in my own local arena, some one in the City decides to set into the Municipal code, against State Law preemption, a 15 day waiting period and local LEO sign off on personal weapon transfers.

City Council members in Union City expound their belief that the "2nd Amendment does not mean what it used to", and have the stature to upset the intent of the State Legislature with respect to the lawful carrying of weapons in City controlled parks by legal, permit holding Citizens because of the personal liberal belief system. The City of Lexington holds their council behind closed doors, never even allowing their citizens an opportunity to express their thoughts, and this is all copacetic with our State lawmakers, they wrote the bill to allow this kind of power grab by a ruling elite.

Their appears to be no one, or at least no Legislative body, that adheres to Jeffersonian Constitutional principals any longer. That, in and of itself, will be the undoing of this Nation that has been a shining beacon of Freedom to the world. The glow dims by the day!

Yes, this is a really scary & unconstitutional order, & also one of the reasons militias need to be formed in this country in greater numbers. This President is nothing short of a tyrant, & he has devious plans for this nation.. Here's more reading on this if you'd like..

Actually, what they said was the immunities given were no more than those for say the Swiss Ambassador.

Personally, I am not too concerned with the Swiss and what they might be co-opted into doing as a global police force, Interpol on the other hand...

If it is so benign, why bother and do it at all?

Please let me remind you of a tactic that is used by dictators. The most recent example is Iran when they cracked down on protesters during the uprising where that young lady Neda Soltani (among others) was murdered by the Basiji militia, that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad uses to do his thuggery. Among those who were given the most violent tasks, were foreigners who were brought in by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for two main reasons.

1. They have no emotional attachment to the people, & don't have to live amongst the people once they've slaughtered some of their relatives, friends & associates.

2. Because these foreign enforcers have no emotional attachment to the people they are attacking, they will not hesitate to beat them, or open fire on them.

This is not the first time a dictator in history has used this type of enforcement, & for those reasons. It will not be the last. Please don't fool yourself into thinking that it could not happen in America, because it indeed could.

Also, Obama said during his campaign, that:
"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

What exactly does he envision? I'm not sure, but I know it's not good. There's a distinct possibility that we have under the radar preparations for Martial Law, & the seizing of Firearms underway. If Obama were to sign one of the treaties that has been proposed that prohibits private ownership of firearms, it would then fall in organizations like Interpol to enforce it, which would provide a political buffer for Politicians LIKE Barack Obama.. Sounds insane right? Well not if you know that there's nobody who can stop you.. You no longer care about poll numbers or what voters think, because you're planning to subvert the constitution anyway, & take over the country by international treaties, & sheer force, I.E. Blue Helmets, Interpol, & our militarized police departments.. Did you know that in recent history the military changed from swearing an oath to the constitution, to swearing an oath to the President (Commander in Chief) instead? Did you know that Military Troops were brought in during the L.A. Riots, & during Katrina? http://www.defense.gov/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=17417

Did you know that FEMA has the authority to call in troops for anything they deem as a threat to security? These things are a departure from the Posse Comitatus Act. which is now being called "Outdated" by those with a devious agenda. That agenda includes disassembling our open society, & slowly & methodically turning it into a "Police State". http://www.homelandsecurity.org/journal ... itatus.htm

In the U.S., INTERPOL is administered through the U.S. National Central Bureau (USNCB), housed in the Department of Justice, and co-managed by both the Department of Justice and Homeland Security. The USNCB is comprised of both permanent and contractual employees of the Department of Justice and staff detailed from other agencies.

Are getting the picture here? The Department of Homeland Security is the same organization that called Militia members, pro lifers, returning veterans, & 2nd amendment advocates "Potential Terrorists". Start putting together the puzzle pieces, because I guarantee you they are putting them together faster than the public is currently. If they finish the puzzle before we do as a people, then there's no hope for the Jury Box, or The Ballot Box.. The only thing left to settle this will once again be the cartridge box.. What you are witnessing is a concerted effort to slowly inch by inch turn this nation into a nation of international servants for an international regime of Elite string pullers & money men. The EPA recently called "Carbon Dioxide" a threat to public safety, that must be regulated & Taxed. Think about that.. The very thing you exhale, being taxed & monitored? None of these things are accidental, but they are indeed a part of a greater plan. When you put them all together, you get a picture of tyranny unseen since the founding of this great nation, & perhaps, the world..

INTERPOL Rumors

Friday, January 08, 2010

Over the past year, we have reported several times on the abundance of rumors being circulated regarding firearm issues. Among other things, we've heard phony tales circulating about such things as guns being banned for the elderly, ammunition with expiration dates, a requirement that guns be listed on tax returns, and a prohibition on gun and ammunition imports. The latest scuttlebutt has to do with a recent Executive Order by President Obama concerning the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

Some have argued that the order would make INTERPOL and its officials immune from civil suit or criminal prosecution, and that it would therefore allow INTERPOL personnel to seize firearms, kidnap Americans, and otherwise violate U.S. citizens' rights. Our legal staff has reviewed this order and does not believe it poses any of these threats.

President Obama's order amends a 1983 order by President Reagan, in which the U.S. recognized INTERPOL as an international organization that is entitled to certain legal immunities under the International Organizations Immunities Act (IOIA).

One of those immunities is immunity from civil lawsuits. Under the doctrine of "sovereign immunity," foreign governments generally can't be sued, and the IOIA extended that protection to international organizations. This has been applied to block suits against the United Nations, Organization of American States, and other international bodies.

This means that articles on the recent order are incorrect in claiming that the order made INTERPOL immune from civil suits; INTERPOL was already immune.

Some have also suggested that under the order, INTERPOL agents would receive diplomatic immunity, so they could violate Americans' rights without fear of criminal prosecution. There are several misconceptions here.

First, diplomatic immunity only protects diplomats, and the IOIA specifically says it does not confer diplomatic immunity on international organization employees.

Second, while the IOIA does provide a limited type of immunity for international organization employees, this is only immunity "relating to acts performed by them in their official capacity." U.S. courts have interpreted this narrowly. In one case, a court found that a U.N. employee was not immune to a local speeding ticket even though he was actually driving the Secretary General of the U.N. to an official conference. In other cases, courts have found that employees of international organizations can be prosecuted for espionage, because espionage is not among their official duties.

Law enforcement officers working with INTERPOL are detailed from agencies in various countries, such as the FBI or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They have no power of arrest outside their own countries. Therefore, a seizure of an American (or of an Americans' firearms) would likely not fall within the official duties for which INTERPOL officials would be immune from prosecution.

Now don't take any of this to mean that we underestimate our anti-gun opponents, or that we don't believe they would happily and readily seize the opportunity to adopt and enforce measures that would limit our freedom. We know full well that they would. Rather, our message is this: Rumors abound, so don't believe everything you read. If it's a legitimate concern, rest assured your NRA-ILA will promptly address it and will give you the straight story.
