ATF Rejects TN Firearms Freedom Act -- No to 10th Amendment

The ATF - as expected - has issued a letter in which it disregards the 10th Amendment restrictions on federal power ( as seems to be the trend since the late 1930) and has notified Tennessee's federal firearms dealers that the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act is meaningless. Essentially, ATF is saying to the state of Tennessee that the 10th Amendment no longer exists.
We expected such from a tyranny that no longer lives within the bounds of its express authority.....

For one, we need enough states to sign on to get the feds to take the states' right / 10th Amendment issues seriously.

Even if all 50 sign on, if nothing happens when the Feds ignore it, nothing happens. Something has to be planned for the next step.

I don't know that we have enough politicians that I trust enough to hold a constitutional convention, we could come out even worse.

So the opinion of a federal agency overrides the laws of the individual states? I'd think it would next go to court.

That's what I was wondering, if there has to be a 'test case' for it to be heard. Can the state appeal that directly in this case, and would they actually pursue it?

Apparently the Tennessee AG agrees with the BATFE and has given a written opinion that the 9th and 10th Amendments are pretty much void.

Born in Tennessee or not, there is not a shred of "states rights" flowing through those veins. Similar beliefs were those who stood around when the Founding Fathers declared a necessity for resisting England in the name of "states rights."

So according to the AG congress can regulate where we can take a dump beacuse the toilet paper was made in another state. His opinion also could be twisted to say that congress has the authority to tell you what veggies you can grow in your own back yard beacuse you could be costing a professional farmer profits by not buying his stock.
This clown needs to go.

Uh, yep.
As I note, it is the same type of endless construction of power that King George concluded he had - a problem that the Founding Fathers clearly understood, risked their lives and fortunes to fight and devoted their wisdom to preclude from ever arising under the Constitution only to be "construed" out of existence by another subsequent tyrant.

I agree with you John. In the past our presidents have tended to be more covert and under the radar , but the new mack daddy is just trying to openly steam roll the American public, and I am actually glad, because it seems to be waking up a lot of people who have been asleep, they say it's all for us, they don't want to explain anything in detail , just trust us it's all for you, and so good for you alone,... sounds like king george alright.. Wake up everybody you know , ask them to ask what's going on, and not just what's going on but what's going on in detail, when they pass bills none of them ever even bother to read, I can assure you , that you won't know what your getting till it's too late!!, WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! It's your constitutional right to question authority! Don't just assume they're looking out for your best interest, because they are not!
