The owner of the local range called today and left me a message that he had been contacted by a Swedish News crew. They told him they were doing a film on firearms ownership and want to come to the local range and interview some of the members. I guess one thing that concerns me is that this is a small rural range with just a few members. This is to occur on Sunday November 2nd.

Has anyone heard of this, I guess I am just a little cautious. Had this been arranged through the NRA or TFA I would be a lot more comfortable. I do not know what the Swedish poltics are or which side of the poltics this group is on. I just do not want to see our 2nd ammendment rights attacked by someone with another agenda. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to check this out on such short notice.

I have not heard of any Swedish news crews in the area doing such stories. You may consider referring them to TFA for comment.

The Swedish news crew showed up Sunday about 1:00 p.m., I was right about being cautious. They were doing a documentary on video game violence, violence in the media and the availabity of guns in society. This was their stated subject when they arrived. I guess that is why they did not go through the NRA or TFA. There was a write-up in the Union City Messenger on Monday. I am sorry to say that I believe they got a lot more of a story than they should have, they sure left with a lot more than I would have given them.

They were from Doppo Vision/TV4 out of Stcokholm Sweden. They said the show would air sometime in January in Sweden and they would offer it to other European countries after that.
