We need help identifying the names and departments of the law enforcement officers and DA's who likely took off on taxpayer time and money (travel in vehicles) to go stand with Bredesen to support the veto.
Some might object to efforts to identify these people but they were not up there as citizens. They were there solely and specifically because they were in uniform. As such, they are public employees, public officials, on public pay making a policy statement that we as citizens and constituents have a right to petition our government regarding if we find it objectionable. To do that, we need to know who they are, who they work for and what we can do to speak out against them.

John, I will tell you who I do NOT see. At this angle at least, I do not see Chief Chrisman of Murfreesboro.

I recognized Knoxville's appointed police chief as well. I see no problem with identifying these "law enforcement professionals" no matter what the police chief of Nashville says about "Chilling" personal opinion.
Why is it that publishing permit holder's names in the paper is "not" chilling, but owning up to your personal opinion is some how? I smell a double standard here. I point this and other issues out in detail in my blog on WBIR.com. You can read it by going to WBIR.com/ voices and views/blogs and reading "The Gov plays politics with lives." by LennisW. The blog is called "World through a Jaundaced Eye."

Here are a few more photos that provide a different angle.
Actually, looking at the faces, I do not see that much excitement from some of these officers. Looks more like the expression just before the doctor says bend over.

I dont recognize or know those cops, except serpas, It is obvious this was orchestrated by bredesen and the police chiefs to insinuate to the public that if the cops who supposedly and i say supposedly protect us because we all know they are most time's only there to mop up the scene after the fact.Apparently bredesen would like to instill fear in the mainstream masses not to be afraid of criminals but law abiding citizens who choose to defend themselve's from would be murderous criminals, all this while i just witnessed a mexican national i suspect although i cant be certain since immigration enforcement is not enforced, in a brand new dodge pick up truck with business signs all over it,, in spanish only, no english whatsoever.I know this site is about firearms but egregious acts against the constitution such as the fed not obeying our own laws leads to the demise of all rights. obama has just signed s-chips into law where another 4 million children will receive health care, no stipulation whatsoever in this bill to ensure they are american citizens and not illegals, who do you think will recieve this? your money is paying for it, obama's administration is steam rolling america and the rights of americans including our gun rights, there is far more at stake than just our gun rights ladie's and gentlemen

It was no suprise to see the spineless law enforcement leaders of Memphis and Shelby County present.
It's difficult to believe that the editor of the Commercial Appeal didn't find a way to be included as well.
