Moderated Posting Implemented

Notice

We have had an influx of inappropriate posts. Some of these have involved porn photos and links. We are trying to catch them as soon as possible. Moderators are encourage to delete them immediately upon detection. I may require the assistance of additional moderators to help.

All moderators, please try to check the site more frequently.

I have updated the system software as of 4/17/09 and a new security feature automatically places post from users into a moderator approval queue until the user has been approved for a fixed number (3) of posts.

Most active users on this site have already reached the required approved posting level. This may delay new user posts for a brief time (depending on the time of day) but we wanted to do this to reduce the risk of pornographic images being displayed on the site. We hope this and other security measures will help stop this abuse.

Hello.

I am a regular TFA member, but a new poster to the forum.
I would recommend a comment minimum of 10 posts for moderation. That will most likely defeat most "bot" comments.
I do realize that this is only my SECOND comment, but I want this site to run as efficiently as possible, and I am willing to be moderated to ensure that no 'posuers' get in.

We are moderating on a minimum at present which does seem to be handling most of the spam problems. We can adjust the number when needed.

Just a few more to go and you will be good to go without moderation. Join in and have fun.
