Am I allowed to carry in a Convenicence Store

I have searched every TN law, and asked every one possible. I can not seem to get an answer to this question, or I get two different answers. I have actually asked two police officers at the same time, and I got two completely different answers and reasons.
I "wear" my weapon concealed, on my side, under a jacket or suit coat. I am never without it, but am I allowed to enter a convenicence store or grocery store, for that matter. Say I stop to fill up my car or get a Coke or do some grocery shoppping. Since the locations SELLS beer, does not serve it for consumption. Am I allowed, as long as they do not have a sign posted - to wear my gun into the store?
Someone please clarify this question for me... I love that I can carry my gun, and do not want to do anything that would jeopardize me from my constitutional right...
Thanks,
