USMC Scout Sniper fund raiser

Postby johnharris » Fri Mar 12, 2010 12:35 pm

I friend of mine and his son are working with the USMC Scout/Sniper on a fund raiser to help support that program. The USMC Scout Sniper Association is raffling chances for a Vietnam-era Commemorative M40 Sniper Rifle in .308 Winchester/7.62 NATO caliber.

All proceeds from this raffle go to Operation Assist which provides support for deployed USMC Scout Snipers by sending necessary tactical gear and comfort packages to sniper platoons. In addition proceeds support the Association's scholarship fund for dependents of Snipers who have been KIA or combat disabled in Iraq and Afghanistan. Needless to say, the money generated by this fund raiser goes to a good cause.

I bought in to help support the program and I encourage each of you to consider doing the same.

$10 for a shot at grandfather 40 isn't a bad deal.

As with the classical "forethought" of the SSA, they have a late April drawing and payment to be snail mailed... Oh well, at least they are trying to sneak into the modern.

Actually, the payments and no go in through GunPal.Net and/or Paypal.com

I have purchased several and encourage the competition.

Ah, that definitely makes it easier. Must have missed the Paypal/Gunpal statement and link. Not sure how, but did. Thanks for the heads up.
