I wonder how many sticks they are going to be allowed. As someone who sticks people for a living, I can say it humorous to even think of some of the cops I can imagine even trying this. Especially on an uncooperative person.

Not to mention questionable sterility, and the issues of maintaining an uncontaminated sample. Of course, the rights of the suspect are irrelevant it would seem. (Is it just me, or does the label suspect seem to give cops and general society the idea you no longer have rights they must respect?)

James man do I have to agree with you. When I was working as an EMT-IV Therapy, I had a very hard time with a combative pt. With the cops I know it is laughable to even think of them trying to even open the supplies with an aseptic technique. Let alone actually sticking someone. You are right,I am meeting more & more officers that pretty much think you are guilty until proven innocent and you have no rights as far as they are concerned. I have actually heard someone tell the mother of a 15 year old that she had no rights,this was after he was picked in for questioning over a stolen bicycle. Turned out the kid wasn't even involved in it.
